This event will help girls grow up to be strong, successful, happy adults. Dream It, Be It targets girls in secondary school who face obstacles to their future success. It provides girls with access to professional role models, career education and the resources to live their dreams. Soroptimist clubs will work in partnership with girls in small groups or a conference setting to provide them with the information and resources they want and need to be successful. The topics covered include career opportunities, setting and achieving goals, overcoming obstacles to success and how to move forward after setbacks or failures.

Dream It, Be It joins Soroptimist’s long-running program Live Your Dream: Education and Training Awards for Women (formerly the Women’s Opportunity Awards). The Soroptimist Dream Programs ensure women and girls have access to the education and training they need to reach their full potential and live their dreams.

Mark your calendar for our annual fundraiser, the theme will be Caddyshack Par-Tee! Come dressed in your best plaid golf attire as we celebrate Soroptimist and raise funds for our local programs. Doors open at 4pm and the fun will begin with silent auction, fun games, auction items and ends with an evening of dancing.

The major fundraiser was introduced to the community in 2014. The 2026 event takes place on Saturday, June 20th. The ­fundraiser has since raised $220k in net-program funds to ­support local community programs. The event offers guests an opportunity to support the SIML’s community programs by our LIVE auction, raffle and silent items which have been donated by our ­community. We hope our guests simply enjoy a new and creative ­experience while generously supporting the development of local women and children. The mission of Soroptimist of Moses Lake has always been to uplift women and children in our community, with a special focus on their education. When our SIML members learned about period poverty—the struggle many young girls face in accessing menstrual products and the negative effect it has it has on their confidence and school attendance—we knew we had to take action!

We are always looking for ways to increase our mission & fundraising efforts. As our community grows, so does our need. This certainly means we are always looking for new members. If you desire to make a difference in the world and in our community, we would love to meet you. Being a member means you enjoy the benefits of belonging to a community and contributing to the needs of women and children.

Membership is open to anyone if the individual upholds the principals of Soroptimist. We are a local service club and our members are encouraged to attend two meetings a month and work on two or more committees or service projects.
